The wind came back! Called a long course and all boats finished under the two hour time limit. Line Honors went to Obsession for the second week in a row. I think Steve and his crew are starting to figure that boat out. Our Lady Skippers did very well in PHRF. Christine Nelson with French Kiss placed first in PHRF C and second in Fleet, Connie Peterson aboard Aleshanee placed second in PHRF C and Dana Bachellerie-Gage sailed Radiant to second in PHRF B and third in Fleet. Great Job!
Notable sailings in the Windseekers fleet include Glenn & Joanna Cowling on Something Special with an elapsed time only bettered by three PHRF boats. Different start, different wind aside, they looked like they were having fun with their hair on fire. Kenson Lee and Kaimalu are back, winning WS-B but being pushed by Don & Debbie McAdams on Red Splash only 57 seconds off the stern. If you think about the Windseeker results it could be said that Kaimalu and Red Splash were first and second in the cruiser/racer boat class.
Dall's porpoise were reported rolling over by the Windward "Lobster Shop" mark. Five in all were spotted. They always bring a smile and wonder.
