Point Beals Racers,
First, Thanks to Joe Salz on Raindrop setting the top mark and staying on station until Blue Jay rounded. Thanks to Cyndi Larrison and her help aboard Romeo Charlie. And the hard work of Jerry Brennen and Fred Critz allowing Romeo Charlie to run. Plus a big thanks to all of you racers.
The race. On a day that sailflow had a prediction of 0 to 2 knots of South breeze we managed to get the start off on time without delay in a glourius Southwesterly of 4 to 8 knots. Good stuff. But as the day went along the wind went away, no wind to fill from the back of the pack on this day. The PHRF fleet was called at Pt. Robinson on the return leg and the Windseekers at Pt. Beals. Ten of the Seventeen boats then finished. Class wins went to Gardyloo in PHRF 1, Sidewinder in PHRF 2, Les Chevaux Blancs in PHRF 3 and Blue Jay in Windseekers.
Next race. There are three races in the Point series to go and the races all stand on their own merit. We gladly welcome more to join in the competition and fun.
October 13th Command Point
October 27th Point DeFiance
November 3rd Browns Point
All of these races have a 09:55 scheduled first warning and you'll find myself at the Tyee II CYCT Clubhouse from 0800 to 0900 on each of these mornings for late registration.
I've ordered a bit more wind,
